Structured, but never still. The SCARPA Side Plate is hand-thrown with a round body and a square-edged rim, balancing formality with fluidity. Inside, a soft spiral pattern winds outward, creating a gently undulating texture you can see and feel – a quiet rhythm under every bite.

Named after Carlo Scarpa, the plate reflects his layered, material-driven approach to design – where shape, surface, and shadow all have something to say. The spiral catches light and glaze in equal measure, giving even the simplest meal a sense of ceremony. Ideal for starters, sweets, or side dishes, but it doesn’t mind being the main event.

A clear divide: the ‘Satin Wedgewood + Texture Autmn’ glaze combination leaves one half of the plate smooth, satin-finished violet-blue; the other a textured blend of earthy browns that shift and break across the surface. Cool meets warm. Clean meets organic. Opposites that somehow get along – and make the whole thing more interesting.

Made in small batches, by hand – which means each spiral turns slightly differently, each corner flares in its own way. Always intentional, never identical.
