THE CASTIGLIONI ASHTRAY

£15.00

Straight-faced, slightly absurd. The CASTIGLIONI Ashtray features a square-set rim and a sculpted ceramic cigarette permanently resting inside – a quiet wink to the ritual it was made for, and a nod to the object’s own purpose.

Named after Achille Castiglioni, it draws from his talent for blending utility with humour – designing objects that work beautifully, but never take themselves too seriously. The form is clean and minimal. Then there’s the joke – right where you’d least expect it.

It’s still an ashtray. Use it. Or don’t. Let it sit in the middle of the table, quietly smoking nothing, starting conversations.

Thrown and sculpted by hand in small batches, each piece varies slightly in finish and tone – the cigarette, too, carries the small imperfections of something made, not manufactured.

Ceramic. Deadpan. Built for function, shaped by fire.
